Project Reveal: The Noma Development

Over a year ago, we were introduced to a property developer named Ed. Ed offered us the opportunity to create a furniture package that could be implemented across 51 flats in his new development ‘Noma’. Why? Well the creation of said furniture package meant potential buyers could move into their new homes with a specially curated furniture scheme. It also takes the hassle out of individually sourcing each item and gives people the confidence that they’ll have a professionally designed apartment. We jumped at the opportunity and spent the last 18 months bringing it all to life. Waiting for the Noma development to be built flat like an eternity! But over a year later and we can finally reveal the project pictures & share with you what went into these packages.

Where was the furniture sourced from?

All the furniture was sourced from Habitat as Ed was introduced to us by a project we did through the hughstreet homeware favourite. All pieces, displayed in these pictures are from Habitat with exception to the paint & art work which we’ve listed below.

How do you curate a package that needs to appeal to a mass market?

To create the packages we had to think carefully about Noma’s target market – i.e. young professionals. In light of this, we wanted to create a scheme was was affordable, relatively neutral in style & contemporary looking. We chose furniture pieces that came in both an oak or walnut finish so that buyers had a choice when it came to creating a light or dark scheme. We also chose the popular Hendricks sofa we were love the rich effects it has in velvet but it also comes in a fabric for those who aren’t feeling adventurous.

What was your inspiration?

We wanted to create a space that was calming, welcoming and that had a focus on wellbeing. The neutral palette and plentiful greenery reflects this. We hope the future residents on Noma agree!
