The Style Files No. 9more house envy....please don't hate us!!
Yes lovelies, it’s that time again – another round of ‘The Style Files’ where we invite ourselves into the homes of ordinary people with amazing homes. This week we’ve spoken to Lucinda, whose home has given us serious house envy. It’s the perfect mix of a light bright and fun interior, with hints of darker hues to give it that cosy feel that seems to be so popular at the moment….
…To tell you a bit about Lucinda, she’s a teacher whose taking some time out after having her daughter Sienna. It’s been during this period that her passion for interiors began. Having bought the home in February 2015, Lucinda got herself out of London in order to get on the property ladder – her home has since been inspiring the people of instagram, so we just had to share it with you. A big thank you to Georgia Burns for taking all the stunning photos! (link to her website below).

What is the inspiration behind your home?
My inspiration comes from my parents and the various pieces of furniture they’ve accumulated over the years and passed down to me. They remind me of my childhood and I love how unique and timeless they are. I hope to pass them down to Sienna one day.
What would be your advice to someone wanting to create a home like yours?
Make sure it’s to your taste and don’t follow trends blindly as you’ll never be happy with your home. In the same breath, don’t be afraid to experiment (within reason!). Display pieces that have meaning to you- it’s a great way to put your stamp on your home.
Money no object, where would your dream home be?
Now that I have a family, I’d say I’m really happy where I’m living, but of course if money were no object, I would definitely get stuck into renovating completely to make my home my dream property!
If you could only own one homeware item, what would it be?
Very boring, but probably my bed- who doesn’t love a good night’s sleep?!
- How would you define your style?
I would say my style is eclectic because I love many different interior styles- you will see that I have a range across my home- from rustic, to Scandi, to feminine, to monochrome- that’s the joy of having four bedrooms to play around with!
How would you define your style?
eclectic, homely & fun
We told you it would be serious house envy…
