This week I was lucky enough to be sent a gorgeous side table from Wayfair. The challenge? To style it in my home and make it look fabulous.  I tried out a couple of different options and played around with the accessories and I wanted to share with you my results. FOOL PROOF TIP 2 – PLANTS

For me personally plants are essential to any indoor surface, be it a side table or a coffee table, shelf whatever. I chose to add eucalyptus leaves on my side table because not only are they only about £7 for a bunch (and I’ve only used about 3 springs here) but they smell amazing, they last weeks, their on trend AND they add height. Use any plant though to take your interior styling from nice to great. Other suggestions are cacti, lilies & orchids.

FOOL PROOF TIP 3 – ORNAMENTS

 I used to think spending money on ornaments was a waste. My logic was that they don’t do anything, they have no purpose and they sit there and get dusty. Looking back I feel embarrassed to have thought that. They are without a doubt so useful for bringing a cohesive room together. They also don’t have to be expensive! Try statues, phrenology heads, buddha heads, figurines etc to add some character to whatever your styling. Animal ornaments are also really on trend at the moment – why? Because these types of accessories add a bit of quirkiness to your home. They show off your personality and outwardly project to your guests that you want to have a bit of fun with your home and make it an extension of your personality.
