Sometimes you see a home ware collection and just think: yes, they’ve got it spot on! That’s how we felt when we first saw the BHS Spring Collection 2018. Terrazzo drop lights with added industrial charm, Art Deco Miami-inspired table lamps, bedding made from natural materials featuring bold, bohemian patterns and graphic printed marble cushions with a palette of ‘smoke, rose, blue and milk’ that are more Elle Decoration than British ‘high street’ store. The price tags are seriously affordable too (drop terrazzo lights from £25), so it’s no surprise that all the interior bloggers can’t get enough of the collection. BHS are also the official lighting sponsor of the Ideal Home Show 2018, where they’ll have a pop-up store showcasing their SS18 lighting and bedding collection. We’ve compiled the best of BHS SS18 right here, so take a look and fall in love.
This sophisticated lamp has just been featured in The Sunday Times and to give it extra kudos the interior power blogger Lust Living has one on either side of her bed. The Beryl Lamp is clearly the talk of the town. Priced at just £50, it’s an absolute bargain. The white sphere and gold design is a nod to the current popular lighting trend yet the unique shape gives it a timeless value.
Elegance with an industrial core – that’s how we would describe these lights. You can snap up a brass or copper one for £25 or go for white marble or terrazzo for a mere (yes) £35. However, these beauties are design-forward enough to be the off-spring of a high-end Italian designer.
The Percy lamp embodies the Scandinavian mid-century interiors trend that has mushroomed over the past year. Why is it so popular? It’s simple, homely and nostalgic. It’s also functional and ‘weightless’ – two qualities that are vital for many of us who live in small city spaces. We admire the Percy lamp for its effortless style.
The cool energy of the Florella lamp is captured in its contemporary simplicity and cylindrical forms. It comes from the BHS’ Quartz range, which features occasional lighting that will add a beautiful finishing touch to any side table or cabinet.
A new trend we’re seeing in 2018 is printed terrazzo used in soft furnishings, which we adore – it is so beautifully abstract. What we like most about this bedding set is the boldness of the colours – the rose, blue and milk hues come into play here. Snap one up if you want to make a statement in the bedroom.
Bohemia dreamin’. The design is pretty and intricate yet remains effortlessly relaxing. Boho is a big trend for 2018 – think sophisticated patterns and rattan furniture. Come to think of it, this bed set would look quite the part next to a rattan chair!
A set of marble graphic printed cushion covers are bang on trend and will show that you’re not afraid to set the style in your home. There’s also Blanc Essence bedding sets available to match.
Our last pick are these printed pendant lights in marble and terrazzo with white and copper fittings. This classic pendant shape has proved popular this year so far, but this is the first brand we’ve seen printed with decorative stone patterns. BHS, you’re one step ahead!
