You know that feeling when you go to a social event, like that party you’ve been really looking forward to, and you’re worst nightmare happens. Some person across the room is wearing the exact same outfit as you. FML. Well, we think it’s getting a little bit like that in the interiors industry. Your mum, your parents in law, your brother – they’ve all got ‘Denim Drift’ in their living room. Or maybe it was ‘Cornforth White’? In fact, Farrow and Ball colours in particular – yes we’re pointing fingers at the likes of you ‘Downpipe’ – have become so vastly used that we’re starting to wonder whether there’s a shortage of other paint colours. Is there a war on paint we don’t know about?
Admittedly, we’re still a sucker for a lot of these paints but here’s breaking news for you – there’s more to life than ‘Heartwood Home’! C’mon people it’s time to get inventive and daring with your colour choices, especially when there are so many other stimulating colours out there. So whack on the radio and grab a pair of overalls, as here are 15 paint colour ideas you might want to try…
