Dry January is OVER! Feeling good? Refreshed? New year, new you etc? I have to admit, Athina and I didn’t quite make it through dry January (no thanks to all those interiors events with free bars…) but we have been fairly well behaved! So to celebrate this and the return of the tipple we’ve selected 10 beautiful drinks trolleys that are worth a purchase to mark the start of February.

1. The Classic Design, Swoon Editions / £299
Let’s start with the original design – the classic beauty, the reason for the drinks trolley in the first place. This 1920s style ‘Tiffany’ bar trolley from Swoon Editions oozes glamour and features gold leaf, glass and a mirrored base, much like the ones in Gatsby’s time. Note: I would have loved to include a real vintage one from the era but the prices have sky-rocketed!

2. The Halo, Atkin & Thyme / £269
The circular trolley with the hollow middle was popular in the latter years of the Art Deco period and definitely has a sophisticate charm. Pair this one from Atkin & Thyme with cut glass tumblers or dark coloured glass as seen above.

3. The Slightly More Boujie Halo
This is a modern take on Art Deco opulence at its best – that geometric Art Deco shape and combination of marble and mirrored shelves are sassy enough to demand all the attention in the room. This one is from Oliver Bonas, who by the way have an incredible selection of drinks trolleys, so if your budget is over a couple of hundred then head right over to them.

Perfect for vast living spaces, this heavier unit makes a statement. It’s less pretty / delicate and more badass and actually very practical and sturdy with it’s closed compartments. It would work equally well in a white wash minimalist interior and a bold maximalist one. It’s a bargain too at £216.50 from Maisons Du Monde.

If you’re a fellow city dweller and have a more compact living space, this foldable trolley from Wayfair would be ideal. I’m constantly impressed by the amount of cool home ware popping up for small spaces at the moment, and drinks trolleys are no exception! Every body deserves to have a Negroni wheeled right up to their feet, right?

We had to end with a wacky OTT vintage choice. This floral trolley is 50 years old and still fabulous. Snap it up quick if you like it though  – it’s from Vinterior and there’s only one of them!
