Right people, this one’s a good’un! Let us transport you to a small town just outside of Southampton, called Eastleigh, as we’re going to tour you around the home of a serious babe. Gemma Morgan, or instagram lovers you may know her as Caffeine&Cacti, has given us the opportunity to have a good old snoop around her home. It’s got us completely hooked on blush pink accessories and botanical decor and you may just find yourself in the same position too. So join us as we wander around her home and once you’re finished, work your way backwards to last weeks house tour which featured the amazing Monika Martin and her mid-century modern USA home.
1. What’s the inspiration behind your home?
My inspiration comes from all the amazing interior instagram accounts! There are so many with such great style and character. I love a mixture of styles including Scandinavian with their simplicity and neutral tones, bohemian with their organic and botanical feel, and mid-century with the bold statement furniture! I literally just buy what I like and hope that it’ll all work together in my home!
2. What is your top tip for decorating a space like you?
Ummm a top tip? Go with your heart! Don’t necessarily follow trends, your home should tell a story about who you are. It’s so amazing to be able to fill a space and surround yourself with the things that make you smile and happy! I would also say be brave with your decorating! Take the plunge and install that bold wallpaper you’ve had your eye on for ages. If it doesn’t work out you can always change it, don’t be afraid to experiment!

3. How do you tackle a room at the start?
When we bought our new build I had a complete blank canvas to work with – I find it helpful to sketch out your room on a piece of paper and play around with the positioning of the furniture and see which layout you like best. I started with the big items of furniture and built on from there.
4. What’s your favourite interior shop?
Oooooh now here’s a subject I can talk about!! Ikea is hands down my favourite store for affordable, stylish and unique furniture! Most of my furniture is from there! I crazily enjoy building flat pack! Haha. For higher end furniture I love West Elm and Made!
I have MANY favourite interior stores for decor!! I love Maisons du Monde and H&M home. Matalan are also throwing out some serious home inspo at the moment too! But the store I frequent the most for home decor is Homesense/Tkmaxx! They have THE biggest range of quirky and unusual pieces for your home! I can get totally carried away in there!
5. What’s your favourite spot in the home and why?
Hmm? This changes all the time! Currently though it’s my living room. It’s where most of my plants are – and my gin haha. It’s important to me that a space is relaxing and calming so I have made this room as cosy and inviting as possible with loads of cushions and throws and with plenty of room to sit down and chill!
